Privacy Policy for StockPool – Shared Inventory
Effective date: October 8, 2026
StockPool – Shared Inventory (“StockPool,” “we,” “our,” or “the App”) is operated by Iconotick. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when Shopify merchants install or use the App.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the App’s inventory-management functionality, we may process:
Shopify store domain, store ID, installation details, and authentication credentials.
Product, variant, SKU, inventory-item, stock-level, and location information.
Inventory pools, bundles, consumption ratios, alert settings, and activity history created through the App.
Order, cancellation, and refund event identifiers, line items, variants, and quantities needed to calculate inventory changes.
Merchant-provided email addresses used for low-stock and operational alerts.
Subscription plan, billing status, and usage information.
Limited technical information such as timestamps, error logs, webhook activity, and diagnostic data.
StockPool does not require or intentionally store customer names, addresses, phone numbers, payment-card details, or customer email addresses to perform its core inventory calculations.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
Create and manage shared inventory pools.
Synchronize inventory between products, variants, bundles, and locations.
Deduct or restore inventory following orders, cancellations, and refunds.
Calculate bundle availability and variant consumption.
Send requested inventory and operational alerts.
Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
Diagnose synchronization failures and improve reliability.
Provide merchant support.
Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical problems.
Meet legal, regulatory, and Shopify platform requirements.
We process only the information reasonably necessary to provide and maintain the App.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or use merchant or customer information for behavioral advertising.
Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate the App, including:
Shopify, for authentication, billing, APIs, webhooks, and platform services.
Hosting and database providers used to run and secure the App.
Resend, when merchants enable email alerts.
Professional advisers, regulators, or authorities when required by law.
A successor organization if StockPool or Iconotick is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.
Service providers receive only the information necessary to perform their services.
4. Data Storage and International Transfers
Information may be processed or stored in countries outside the merchant’s country. Where required, we use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information during international transfers.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App, maintain security and operational records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.
Following an uninstall or valid deletion request, applicable shop and personal data is deleted or anonymized within the period required by Shopify, except where retention is legally required or necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, or dispute resolution. Limited encrypted backups may remain temporarily until they are automatically overwritten.
6. Shopify Privacy Requests
StockPool supports Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks for:
Customer data-access requests.
Customer data-deletion requests.
Shop data-deletion requests.
Because StockPool does not intentionally store customer identity fields for its core service, a customer request will normally return no directly identifying customer record. Any applicable information connected to the provided Shopify resource identifiers will be reviewed and handled according to Shopify requirements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS encryption, access controls, authenticated Shopify sessions, webhook-signature verification, restricted database access, and monitoring.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for using StockPool in accordance with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, and ecommerce laws. Merchants should provide appropriate notices to their customers regarding applications and service providers used by their store.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Merchants can contact us directly. Customers should normally submit requests through the Shopify merchant from whom they purchased.
10. Children’s Privacy
StockPool is intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or applicable requirements. The updated policy will display a revised effective date.
